Ranny , a paradise which is situated in the eastern part of Kerala , the God’s own country lies in the laps of the holy river Pampa, as a mile stone to the educational heritage. M.S.H.S.S. stands at the heart of river Pampa under the feathers of Kananya Valiyapalli.
Inorder to lead generation from darkness to light, Mor Sevarious English Medium School was established in 1916.This school bears a pivotal role in exerting influence in the sociological, cultural, political and educational fields . Surviving so many ordeals and difficulties the school emerged as a prestigious land mark of Ranny.
The first Head Master of this esteemed educational institution was Rev.Abraham Malpan, Thazhathu and the first Manager was Very. Rev.P.J.Thomas Core Episcopa, Purakkal. As a mark of honour given to H.E.Geevarghese Mor Sevarious who had been the first Metropolitan of the Kananaya Community, the school has been named after him. The school was founded as a middle school and was upgraded as high school in 1935.
In 1998 M.S.H.S. was upgraded as a Higher Secondary School and Sri. C.K. Abraham was the Manger at that time. Two batches for Science and one each for Commerce and Humanities were allotted to M.S. Higher Secondary School. In 1999 an additional batch was allotted for Science stream.
By the grace of God the school harvests envious achievements in the curricular , co-curricular and extra curricular activities. Now the school run under the guidance of the Management Committee which is well directed and well functioned under the reputed Manager Sri. Philip Abraham Mundukottackal . Around Five Hundred and fifty students
are studying in HSS section. HSS section has got 23 staffs who work with great co. operation and helping mentality under the Principal Smt. Valsala Zachariah.K .
The school which has now stepped in to the celebrations of “Navathy” serves as a beacon of knowledge to the coming posterity.
